THE WEEKEND IS HERE UP2?

 HERE’S ONE FOR THE BEGINNERS..

For the next 2 Sundays I’ll be running a basic workshop on the FUNdamentals of volleyball, starting this Sunday 17-Aug at 4pm, at the stadium. This would be a good opportunity for all those that have just started playing the game and wanting to learn how to pass, set and spike. This is open to anybody really! There is no cost involved. ABSOLUTELY FREE! So if you’re keen, I’ll see you at the courts. Bring your sports shoe’s, water bottle and a towel.

GENERAL INFORMATION 

Thanks to some feedback – we’re going back to the “winner by 2 pts or more” each set E.g. If time expires and the score is 20-21. No one wins the set. It needs to be 2 pts or more.

This season we’re trying to get away from “players filling in” for teams as it is understandably unfair to teams who are organised. To avoid this – make sure you recruit sufficient numbers. I recommend 8-10 players is plenty, so that theres always coverage.

2025 WINTER SEASON

📣 ARE YOU READY? Firsty, thank you to all who have registered their teams. I am very excited to announced that we a total of 24 teams registrations😲. This is amazing! This is a new record🤩.

🏐 Pre-season Games will be organised for next week, 4th & 6th of August.

🏐 Round 1, Season Begins the following week, 11th & 12th August.

🏐 PLEASE NOTE: The player registration fee is $120.00. 😎 This fee is not due until Monday, 25 August. It is important that team delegates, provide me with an updated team list, as only those on the list will be able to take the court from next week.

🏐 I will arrange a meeting with the team delegates sometime next to go over the upcoming season.

REPIN ISA VOLLEYBALL HARD

Hi all. I’d like to introduce STACK CITY VOLLEYBALL – from JS Apparel. After another hectic few months, I finally have had time to put some work on this initiative. One thing I wanted to do to was to promote and rep our volleyball community. So if you’re interested and would like to order any of the attached kit, please message me. I will be taking orders from now until the end of August. (t-shirts, singlets, shorts, compression shorts for the ladies, hoodies and even volleyball sleeves). For those that are interested, I can organise team uniforms.

Our volleyball community has come a long way since inception. And thanks to some volleyball fanatics who are so passionate about the sport – who keep coming back, we’re able to keep this going. From our humble beginnings of 8-10 teams, we have grown to an average of 13-18 teams per season. This upcoming season I’ve recieved 20 team registrations so far. This is absolutely amazing!

With that said – I am very happy to announce that after some negotiations with Mount Isa Basketball Association Inc. ( Missv Kavea ), Mount Isa Volleyball has once again – been granted an additinal evening. We will now have volleyball on Monday nights, as well as Wednesday nights
